MEGA Modern Top 8 Decklists - Feb 2022

Phew, what a weekend!

The first MEGA Weekend since March 2020 (we all know why) is in the books and what a weekend it was.

We'd like to begin by thanking everyone who made it out to Milton Keynes and contributed to making it such an amazing weekend.

 

With few large paper tournaments of Magic in recent years the meta was uncertain going into the MEGA weekend. The only thing that has remained consistent though is that the largest meta share of a Modern tournament will be held by the 'Other' category, this time taking up 33% of the meta. Grixis Shadow was the most represented in the field, with one pilot making the Top 8. One interesting note is that despite taking up a large share of the field at 9.5%, no Hammertime players made it into the Top 8! With a lower share (though still relatively large) no Murktide players made the Top 8 either.

 (Decks were placed into the Other group if they accounted for less than 2% of the decks in the field in order that the chart was manageable.)
