Modern 'for Goodies' - Feb 2022 - Top 8 Deck Lists

 

 Another Modern 'for Goodies' is in the books and we have a worthy winner in Sam Smith, who walked away with a Revised Tropical Island!

The rest of our Top 8 didn't do badly either, all walking away with a box of Set Boosters of Modern Horizons 2!

Looking at the Top 8, Ragavan is still extremely popular, appearing in half of the decks. There was also a good range of decks, with the only deck putting two copies into the Top 8 being the incredibly powerful, but tricky to pilot, Amulet Titan. Of all the decks in the Modern meta at the moment, Titan has gained the most out of recent set releases with Urza's Saga, Turntimber Symbiosis, Boseiju, Who Endures and Cultivator Colossus all being incredibly powerful additions. Perhaps the most surprising card in the Top 8 was Tribal Flames, a staple feature of Domain Zoo from an earlier, simpler period of Modern's history. 

We also ran a 'Rebound Modern' to give the players whose early rounds didn't go to plan an extra chance to go home with some sweet 'Goodies'. Congratulations to Andrew Tan-Mulligan, Jozsef Benczedi, Jamie Lamoon and Francesco Vitiello on their achievement!

 

We would like to thank all the players who came and made the day a pleasure to be a part of. We would also like to extend our thanks to James and Tim, our fantastic Judge team who ran the tournament beautifully.
