 Modern for Goodies - May 2022 - Top 8 Decklists

 This past Sunday, 60 players sat down to decide who would be our Modern Champion for May!

After 6 tough rounds (minus some intentional draws :P) plus the full three single-elimination rounds, Roberto Fabiani stood triumphant!

Congratulations to Roberto and we hope you enjoy the foil Masterpiece Invention Mana Crypt you won for your troubles. 

The rest of our Top 8 had nothing to be too sad about though, walking away with a Draft Booster Box of Modern Horizons 2 each!

 

Each of the more popular archetypes were represented in the Top 8, with 1 copy each of UR Murktide, Amulet Titan, Cascade Rhinos and 4C Yorion. There were some surprising entrants in the Top 8 with a 5C Humans list (masquerading as 5C D'nT) making the top spots for the first time in a long time. Burn also made it in after a fairly long time being out in the cold. Our winner, Roberto, also showed up with a newly developing archetype - Esper Food. This deck features some of the more sidelined Modern Horizons 2 cards with Academy Manufactor and the unpronounceable Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar (and yes, I copy-pasted the name in) working together to create an abundance of artifact tokens to take all the turns with Time Sieve.

 We would like to thank everyone who attended and made it a great day, as well as our Judge staff of Ray Fong and George Andrews who kept everything running smoothly and ensured everyone had a good time.
